Minutes of the previous meeting- held on 14 June2016 at 7.30 pm were approved

Membership renewal: Only 86 members have currently renewed. Peter to send out email reminder indicating that fobs will be revoked at the end of Aug if not renewed. Don to produce a sign. / Peter/Don / ASAP
BBQ area: After further discussion it was agreed that the current proposal was too expensive. A survey of members needs to be conducted before any further action in this regards. A suggested survey to be drafted by Peter. / Peter / Aug
TV Terry Dillon management solutions: Committee members had yet to review the proposal. Peter to reforward to each committee member and seek feedback on this proposal. / Peter / ASAP
Tennis balls: Don to seek a quote on Slazenger balls as a comparison. The ball handling process to be reviewed. Don to ensure that each team captain gets all required balls for the season at the beginning of the season. Gayle to review the Ladies process. Potential locking of balls in the store room. / Don/Gayle / ASAP
Ladies ball money: Treasurer to liaise with Gayle and ensure that the Ladies players are being billed correctly for balls used. / Treasurer / Asap
Court allocation: Peter to produce a brief etiquette poster to be placed on the door reminding players of suitable etiquette when other players are in competition. / Peter / Aug
Sunshades: Don to get a renewed quote. / Don / Aug
Water bill: For comparison, Peter to look up previous year’s water bill. / Peter / ASAP

  3. Injury register: A notice on the notice board letting members and visitors know that there is a form to completed (Deb). Jeff provided a school form template. Jeff will give to Deb and follow-up.
  4. Membership registration with Tennis Vic –Nicole spoke to TV. They want us to register our members. In order to be eligible to be eligible to accident insurance we need to register our members with TV. The personal details are in accordance with privacy act. 168,000 currently registered with TV.

Sarah was unable to attend. Delayed to a later time.

  1. Club house BBQ area – all

It was agreed that $20K too much. Wait for survey results from membership before any further action.

Resend the email for assessment.

  1. Sale of tennis balls – Debra

Treasurer to bill the Ladies Committee for provision of balls. Concern of the easy access to the balls in the storeroom. Review the ball cycle process. Gayle to complete the Ladies process. Allocate balls to each team captain and hold a backup supply in the store room. Steve to assist. Further consideration to be given to the process. Further discussion at the next meeting.. Don to get prices on Slanger balls as well.

Vibrant discussion took place regarding allocation of courts mid week. Concerns were expressed about etiquette and procedures. Peter to produce a list of tennis etiquette when other players are in competition and place on the doors.

REPORTS

Treasurer

The July Treasurer’s report was accepted. ERT affiliation fees added.

Membership

Currently 86 financial and 182 un-financial members. Peter to send out a reminder. Don to produce a sign as well.

Mid-week ladies

End of season near and no finals.

Joceyln family gave $200 to find something to remember. Suggestion is a second hand book shelf. Agreed.

Juniors.

Expecting a large number of teams in finals. Entries close for Juniors on 7 Sept.
