Work Experience
- August 2007 to January 2014: Van Driver – Murphy Transport
I have spent the last 7 years driving a light goods vehicle for a nationwide transport business. This role has involved being able to work on my own initiative for long periods as well as being able to plan and organise my daily workload in an efficient manner. Working remotely from my manager and dealing with the public has also required me to have excellent communication skills both over the phone and in person. Overall the role requires a high level of professionalism and attention to details which will be an asset to me in any future security industry roles.
- June 2006 to July 2007: Security Operative– XYZ Security
As a security operative with XYZ security I covered a variety of locations throughout the city and county in roles such as static guarding and retail security. I worked on many busy city centre stores where I was employed to deter and detect instances of criminal behaviour, customer service and ensuring the safety of customers. My ability to work within a team and use my communication skills ensured that I was an important part of the security function.
