Project 14 07 Humeny Extension Cleanout Contract 2014
Read Carefully - Instructions
- Fill out all details, boxes, lines, and sign and date the project quotation package.
- Specify the Project Name and your Company Name or Name and the date submitted on the sealed envelope you are submitting.
- All bids will be in sealed envelopes.Emails and faxes and unsealed envelopes will not be accepted.
- All bids will be received at the RM of Armstrong offices in Inwood Manitoba or by Mail to the RM offices at Box 69 Inwood Manitoba R0C 1P0.
- Bids will be opened in alphabetical order by Project Name
- Closing date for submission is September 08, 2014 at 4:00 PM Manitoba Time. No bids/sealed envelopes will be accepted after 4:00 PM. All sealed bids will be opened in the RM Council Chambers at a Meeting of Council on September 9, 2014.
- The lowest or any quote not necessarily accepted.
- Project quotation packages can be faxed, mailed and emailed by calling the RM office at 1.204.278.3377.
- Project plans & Project profiles can be picked up from the RM office in Inwood.

Station 9+00 TO 16+20
1)The contractor will be responsible for all signage if required and ensuring the safety to the public.
The contractor is responsible for their own site inspection to determine how this work is to be done.
The quantities to be moved are the responsibility of the contractor to estimate. Not necessary the lowest tender will be accepted. A start date must be given and an expected date of completion. There must be 72 hrs notice given prior to any work commencing.
2) Payment shall be for the amount for each item once completed minus a 10% hold back fee, which will be paid in full once the entire contract is completed and is satisfactory to the R.M. of Armstrong. The project must be completed by October 14, 2014. Any extension to this must be approved by the R.M. of Armstrong.
3)The contractor must have a laser and use it to keep the channel grade to design. Hubs will be given at ¼ mile intervals for check points. The base of the drain shall be a 3.0 meter width with 3:1 side slopes. If it is determined that these requirement are not made the contractor will be responsible for all costs related to meet this design requirement.
4)Any extra work to be done must be approved by the R.M. of Armstrong. Extra work shall be paid as a misc expense.
5)Material excavated from the drain must be spread not nearer than 5 meters from the top on the constructed slope. Should the contractor require the fence to be opened it will be his responsibility to contact the land owner and make arrangements. Any brushing to be done will be paid for as a lump sum. Brushing must be buried. Any variation to this must be approved by the land owner and the R.M. of Armstrong.
6)The contractor will be responsible for the installation of one 610mm x 12.0 meter culvertin the field crossing at station 13+27, and the salvage of the existing culvert at the above noted station.
7)The contractor will be responsible for the culvert once delivered on site.
