Hello Parents and Families,

Can you believe it is already April? Our kindergarteners are moving along so fast. As you know in April we have our Three Billy Goats Gruff Trip on April 5, and our Dental trip on April 8. These are next week! The children will have a great time on the field trips, and we will post pictures on the website for you to see! In April we will also be having another picture day (April 18- the memo will be forth coming), and we have our Spring break the week of April 25.

Your children are not only super readers, but they are becoming avid readers! They are using all of their powers to think and talk about the book. Continue practicing letter sounds and sight words with your child at home, so your child can read more books. Talk with your child about the books he/ she reads. In our readers workshop we will be making reading fun as children are having reading playdates in school, and singing the book for fluency.

In math students are learning number bonds, which is addition and subtraction. Please continue to practice with your child at home by doing the math homework. Children should also be practicing counting to 100.

In April we will continue to learn about seasons (spring), our senses, and butterflies. Did your children tell you, we have caterpillars that are turning into butterflies? At the end of the month we will set our butterflies free. We will also be learning about earth day, and ways that we can take care of our earth.

www.abcmouse.com (-password prospect 5) I made each child a username! The kids love this website, it is a fun and interactive way to practice!

REMINDER- April 20 with be a half day. This was newly added to the calendar.

Some of the children have been asking me to help their parents get abcmouse or raskids on their tablets to practice. If you need any help, I can assist you to help your child practice at home!

Hola Padres y Familias,

¿Pueden creer que ya es abril! Nuestros niños de kinder se mueven a lo largo de tan rápido. Como saben, en abril tenemos nuestro viaje de tres cabritillos traviesos el 5 de abril, y nuestro viaje Dental el 8 de abril Estas son la próxima semana! Los niños tendrán un gran tiempo en los viajes de campo, y vamos a publicar las fotos en el sitio web para que usted vea! En abril también vamos a tener otro día de la foto (Abril 18- la nota será salida a la luz), y tenemos nuestra vacaciones de primavera la semana del 25 de abril.

Sus niños no sólo son súper lectores, sino que se están convirtiendo en ávidos lectores! Están utilizando todos sus poderes para pensar y hablar del libro. Continuar la práctica de sonidos de las letras y las palabras de la vista con su hijo en casa, por lo que su niño puede leer más libros. Hablar con su hijo acerca de los libros que él / ella lee. En nuestro taller de lectores, vamos a hacer la lectura divertida que los niños están teniendo reuniones de juego de lectura en la escuela, y el canto del libro de fluidez.

En matemáticas los estudiantes están aprendiendo bonos de números, que es la suma y la resta. Por favor, seguir practicando con su hijo en casa haciendo la tarea de matemáticas. Los niños también deben estar practicando el conteo al 100.

En abril vamos a continuar para aprender acerca de las estaciones (primavera), nuestros sentidos, y mariposas. ¿Sus hijos le dicen, tenemos orugas que se están convirtiendo en mariposas. Al final del mes vamos a establecer nuestras mariposas libre. También estaremos aprendiendo acerca de día de la tierra, y las maneras que podemos tomar cuidado de nuestra tierra.
