What is E-Textiles?

· Cutting edge of design & engineering

· Fabrics embedded with electronics (sensors, lights, motors, small computers)

· Uses washable materials (conductive thread, fabric, flexible circuit boards)

· Used in astronaut space suits, wearable medical devices, haute couture fashions and costumes, military and police uniforms, athletic-wear

· Electronic textiles (e-textiles) are innovative textile materials, (fabrics, yarns and threads), that incorporate conductive fibers or elements directly into the textile itself. These materials eliminate wires and hard electronics, so all you feel is the textile itself!
