WE CARE ABOUT WOMEN: is a SPUC campaignto opposedecriminalising abortion. SPUC is organising a Mass Constituency Lobby & is asking people to make an appointment with their MP to ask them to vote against any moves in Parliament to decriminalise abortion. DEANERY MARRIAGE COURSE: is a requirementfor all marrying in 2018 (whether within or outside of the parish) Saturday 24th February 10.30am - 4pm, at St Joseph’s. HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION:The Pope has approved a change in the calendar for the Dioceses of England and Wales: The Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord is to be observed on 6 January except when it falls on a Saturday or a Monday when the Solemnity is transferred to the Sunday.The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is to be observed on Thursday of the sixth week of Easter.

LUTON IRISH FORUM EMERALD PIPE BAND: celebrating Frank Gallagher’s contribution to the Pipe Band, Friday 13th October at St Joseph’s Parish Centre. Music by Eamon’s Country Sounds, admission £5 which includes buffet also raffle on the night.

NOAH: next weekend collection of clothing, books, bric-a-brac etc. Donations of warm bedding & sleeping bags would be very much appreciated as they will be opening the night shelter again this winter.

NOAH’S WINTER NIGHT SHELTER VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: the shelter literally saves lives during cold winter months, helping people who have nowhere else to turn. Volunteers needed to help and support. NORES LECTURE 2017: as part ofOur Catholic Schools Week, 4.00pm on Sunday15th October at NORES, Holy Ghost Parish. CALLED and CHOSEN - the call of all the baptised,the response of people to the ordained ministry, how both calls are for mission in the Church.The lecture will be given by Rev. Canon Dr. David J Oakley.
