JOB DESCRIPTION: ETE Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Housing Operations Manager
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
- To develop and deliver high quality job coaching and employment support to hostel clients
- Assist clients to break the cycle of unemployment and homelessness by creating pathways to education, training and employment
KEY TASKS
1Work closely with support workers in promoting the Training and Resource Centre (TRC) and the education and employment opportunities available to clients
2Identify links, build relationships and opportunities with organisations providing employment training and educational
3Give appropriate job coaching, information and advice to clients on a one to one basis
4Organise and deliver practical training to clients in the use of IT
5Support clients in pro- active job search including training in the preparation of
PERSONNEL / JOB DESCRIPTIONCVs, completion of application forms and interview skills
6Organise and deliver training to motivate clients to engage with and progress into employment focused training or sustainable work
7To maintain accurate records and produce reports of clients’ outcomes achieved
8To develop and deliver a menu of meaningful activities which will contribute to the personal development journey of TRC clients
9When necessary coordinate the signposting of clients to other Pathway Employment and Training opportunities
10To operate and encourage a client focused service ensuring that client feedback is promoted
11Recruitment and appropriate supervision of volunteers on site

PERSONNEL / PERSON SPECIFICATION1.0 Experience
1.1 Experience of working with unemployed adults in a community setting
1.2 Experience in delivering effective training in CV skills,job application skills
1.3 Experience of delivering one to one job search support
1.4 Experience in managing a caseload of clients
1.5 Experience with recruitment and supervision of volunteers
2.0 Skills and Abilities
2.1 Ability to engage constructively with and relate to a diverse client group
2.2 Ability to work effectively with disaffected adults
2.3 Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a diverse range of providers
2.4 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

3.1 Knowledge of training and employment support programmes available
3.2 Knowledge and understanding of how the use of ICT can improve the efficiency and support continuous improvement.
3.3 Knowledge and understanding of working in a diverse environment.
3.4 Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and diversity and how to translate policy in to practice
