CONTRACT OF SALE
1. This Agreement, dated July 2013 between D. Jay Hyman, 5905 Kim Ct., Mt. Airy, Maryland, 21771, (Breeder)

2. In consideration of the sum of $ _ and the mutual promises contained herein, Breeder has agreed to sell, and Buyer has agreed to purchase, one male __ __female _ Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, born May 24, 2013 (the dog, or the puppy).
3. The dam is GCH Rolling’s Golden Jubilee and the sire is GCH Rollings Ansel Adams by Spring Valley..
4. Breeder represents and warrants that the puppy herein described is purebred and is eligible for registration with the American Kennel Club (AKC), and that he will supply the AKC registration papers to Buyer when same are received from the AKC.
5. Breeder and Buyer hereby agree:
The puppy is sold as a pet, with a "Limited" AKC registration.
The puppy is sold as showable, with an "Unlimited" AKC registration, and Buyer will make a good faith effort to show the dog, or allow it to be shown by Breeder, to its AKC championship.
In consideration of Breeder reducing the price, Buyer agrees that the female puppy will be held in joint names with the Breeder until she is bred in her second season (after 2 years of age) . Breeder will supply the stud, and pay all expenses of the breeding and whelping including the feeding of the litter. The litter (minimum of 3) shall belong to the Breeder who shall give the Buyer a pet puppy, or refund the purchase at Buyers choice. After this the Breeder shall convey title to the bitch to Buyer without further conditions.
If breeder desires to show the puppy, he shall provide the handler, at his expense, the buyer shall pay the entry fees to the show
Breeder and Buyer further agree that the term “showable” is hereby defined to mean that at the time the puppy is delivered to Buyer, it appears to have no disqualifying or serious faults which would preclude its future exhibition in AKC dog shows.
It is impossible to predict how any puppy will ultimately mature; therefore Breeder makes no warranty whatsoever that the dog will finish its championship or otherwise succeed in the show ring. If the puppy is a showable male buyer agrees to allow the Breeder to use it without charge on any bitch that Breeder owns or co-owns, but not on a bitch owned by a third person..
6. Breeder agrees that Buyer can return the puppy for a full refund (purchase price only) for any reason within seven days, provided that the puppy has not been injured or killed. Breeder represents and warrants that the puppy is free of dermoid sinus and that both parents have been x-rayed clear for hip and elbow dysplasia and . Buyer shall pay the costs of all shipping, including if it is returned.
8. Buyer agrees to maintain the dog in good and healthy condition, to keep inoculations current, and to comply with all federal, state and local laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations regarding the keeping and licensing of dogs in the jurisdiction in which Buyer lives. Buyer agrees that the dog shall live with her and not be resold or re-homed. If buyer wants to find a new home for the dog it shall be sent back to the breeder.
9. Buyer agrees to use his/her best efforts to ensure that the puppy receives at least basic training, is not allowed to run loose, and in all respects conducts itself such that it will reflect credit both upon the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and the Rolling’s kennel name. Buyer further agrees that the dog will not be trained as an attack or guard dog, will not be used as a fighting dog or otherwise trained for aggression.
10. If the puppy is sold as a pet on a "Limited" AKC registration, Buyer agrees to spay or neuter the dog prior to its first birthday.
11. Buyer agrees not to sell, transfer, lease or otherwise convey all or any part of Buyer's interest in the dog without first consulting with Breeder.
12. The agreement is governed by Maryland law without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
13. This is the entire agreement between the parties; no prior or simultaneous agreements,
representations or warranties are of any force or effect. This Agreement cannot be changed except in writing signed by both parties.
