SAFE WORK PRACTICE

ENGINE & GEAR OIL DISPENSER (WORKSHOP)

PPE (Minimum – check SWP- PPE for correct protection)

·  Long hair secured

·  Eye Protection

·  Safety Footwear

OPERATION

·  When filling Oil Dispenser Unit, ensure that you do not leave the unit un-attended to prevent over filling/Oil spills.

·  Do Not carry out services on the Hotmix.

·  If oil spill does occur on the hotmix, ensure spill is cleaned thoroughly ASAP as the oil breaks down the hotmix.

·  Do Not operate air system above 30 PSI.

·  Do Not leave the Oil Dispenser un-attended while refilling engines to prevent over filling/Oil spills.

·  Ensure that air pressure is not applied to the unit with the refilling port open and/or the ball valve in the open position.

·  The Oil Dispenser Unit is for Engine & Gear Oil Only. Under no circumstances shall the unit be used for any other oil.

·  When finished with unit, close hand piece nozzle.
