Suggested topics to cover: Sum up how the internship will benefit the organization and the environment. Mention how your internship will help the organization meet their goals, help with an ongoing project, shed new light on an environmental issue, etc. Possibly mention long-term environmental effects of your internship (educational documents produced, amount of pollution decreased, maps created, etc).

Past Experience, Present Educational Objectives, and Future Professional Goals

Student information. Include a description of what you hope to gain from the internship experience and how your educational background qualifies you to do the work.

If you are working for the EPA in Washington, DC and will be working in DC for eight weeks and then finishing your data analysis/project/etc. in Ann Arbor from your apartment/UM computer lab for two weeks, your percentage of time at host’s location would be 80%.
