My Radius: March 12, 2017

Below are some questions that will help you and your Life Group dig deeper into this weekend’s sermon. We’ve included plenty of questions, but feel free to use just a few or to choose whichever questions best fit your group.

Intro Questions:

  1. This week Bo continued the My Radius series, where each week we will discuss how our biggest impact begins right where we are. Bo encouraged us to realize how there are many opportunities in our life that only need a single, small move to begin. Like a single domino starting a huge domino chain.
  2. Do you have any stories in your life where a small event triggered a series of other events? Share a bit of this story with your group.
  3. Last week, Tom told us “Your Mission is People.” What did you do this week to try to live into that mission?

Bible Questions:

  1. Key Scripture: John 1:36-46
  2. Read through the entire passage and ask group members to simply listen for the parts that stick out to them. You may want to read through it twice. Ask the group: What can we learn from this passage? What stands out to you?
  3. Bo emphasized two phrases mentioned by Jesus, “What do you want?” and “Come, follow me.” Discuss the meaning and significance of these phrases in your group.

Application Questions:

  1. Consider the illustration of dominoes falling over, once again. It only takes one touch of one domino to knock all of the other dominoes over.
  2. What first domino needs to be knocked over this week with someone in your radius? Maybe it’s an invitation to talk. Maybe it’s sharing your testimony with them. Maybe it’s introducing yourself to them. What is it?
  3. How can you invite someone in your radius to begin following Jesus with you?
  4. When you think about those in your radius, those closest to you, your friends, co-workers, roommates or family - what do they want?
  5. What practical first step can you invite them to this week?
  6. If you were to ask those in your radius “What do you want?”, what do you think they would say?
  7. Who from your radius do you need to invite to follow you as you follow Jesus, and how can you

do that this week?

As we begin this new sermon series, My Radius, spend a few minutes asking God to help you understand who/what YOUR radius really is. Then ask Him to give you opportunities to love and care for your radius.
