Adult students-not for graduating seniors
MABEL M. WILSON ARCHBOLD SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Resident of Wells County
- Graduate of Norwellwithin the last six years
- Attending an accredited four-year undergraduate or graduate U.S. college as a full-time student
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Award is one-half tuition and fees up to $12,000 per academic year and one-half books and suppliesup to $500 per academic year – renewable up to three more years
MARY ELIZABETH STEINER BABCOCK SCHOLARSHIP
(EDUCATION MAJORS INTENDING TO TEACH)
Eligibility
- Resident of Wells County
- Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Candidates must be entering their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies
- Must have completed two years of full-time study at an accredited state supported college or university within the state of Indiana
- Must have declared a major in elementary or secondary education and plan to enter the teaching profession
RALPH A. BROMAN EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Graduate of Bluffton High Schooland resident of Wells County
- Must have a collegiate GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Must have completed two years of full-time study at an accredited college or university
- Declared a major in elementary or secondary education and plan to enter the teaching profession
BURL AND EDITH BRYAN SCHOLARSHIP
Three separate programs for older students anda resident of Wells County
Associate/Baccalaureate Program
Students must have completed 24 semester credit hours and are enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited two or four-year postsecondary institution
Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Post Baccalaureate Program
Students who are enrolled in or are planning to enroll in an accredited program of postgraduate studies leading to an advanced degree
Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Non-Traditional Education Program
21 years or older who wishes to pursue an education, academic or trade/technical, on a full or part-time basis at an accreditedpostsecondary institution
INGEBURG CLAWSON AND GLENDA KAYE MEYER EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Wells County resident or employed at a healthcare facility within Wells County at time of application
- Have been accepted into or enrolled in an accredited Basic RN Program (2-4 year) and have a letter from admissions verifying acceptance into nursing program
- May be full-time or part-time student
JILL DREYER MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP FOR NON-GRADUATING SENIORS
Eligibility
- Wells County resident or employed at a healthcare facility within Wells County at time of application
- Have been accepted into or enrolled in an accredited Basic RN Program (2-4 year) and have a letter from admissions verifying acceptance into nursing program and have a letter from advisor stating number of credit hours completed, if applicable
- May be full or part-time student
K. ROBERT EHRMAN SCHOLARSHIP
(EDUCATION MAJORS INTENDING TO TEACH)
Eligibility
- Legal resident of Wells or Adams County
- Have a collegiate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have completed at least (2) years of full-time study at an accredited college or university
- Priority given to students planning to teach instrumental music
- Have declared a major in elementary or secondary education and plan to enter the teaching profession
- May be completing undergraduate work or continuing education at the postgraduate level
EDWARD AND HENRIETTA GOETZ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FOR NURSING AND STEM MAJORS
Eligibility
- Must have completed at least one year of full-time study at an accredited college or university
- Nursing or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Majors who will be sophomores, juniors or seniorsin an undergraduate program
- Wells County resident
- Demonstrate financial need
- Must submit a letter from admissions verifying acceptance into a nursing program
- Involved in community volunteerism including but not limited to the areas of scouting or church
JOHN AND MARTHA MUGG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Wells County resident
- Must have successfully completed one year of college
- Must be attending an Indiana college or university in pursuit of a two or four-year degree
- Must include a transcript of all college grades
- Letter of recommendation validating commitment to community service
MARY V. REINHARD SCHOLARSHIP
(EDUCATION MAJORS INTENDING TO TEACH)
Eligibility
- Resident of Wells or Adams County
- Must be an education major who will be a junior or senior in an undergraduate program
- Have a collegiate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have completed at least 2 full years of full-time study at an accredited college or university
- Declared major in elementary or secondary education and plan to enter teaching profession
SELLERS FAMILY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
(EDUCATION MAJORS INTENDING TO TEACH)
Eligibility
- Must be graduate of Norwell High School, Bluffton High School, Southern Wells High School or Blackford High School. Preference given to applicants who resided at time of graduation: Harrison Township. (Blackford County), Lancaster or Rockcreek Township. (Wells County)
- Have a collegiate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have completed at least (1) year of full-time study at an accredited college or university
- Must have declared a major in primary elementary education; vocal music education; or secondary education and plan to enter the teaching profession
- Master’s level students currently teaching in elementary, vocal or secondary education may also apply
WELLS COUNTY MASTER GARDENER SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Wells County resident
- Must have minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 basis
- Major area of study must be horticulture and landscape architecture. Also, consider students in allied sciences (forestry, botany, plant and soils sciences)
- College students must be accepted as full-time 4-year undergraduate program in above named major at Purdue
- High school seniors must be accepted into 4-year undergraduate program in above named major at Purdue
- Must have been active in community activities/service
VANCE AND MARIE WILSON MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
- Wells County resident or employed at a healthcare facility within Wells County at time of application
- Accepted into a Basic RN Program (2-4 year) and have completed minimum of one semester in the nursing program
- Must submit letter from admissions verifying acceptance into nursing program and a letter from an advisor listing number of credit hours completed
- Must maintain a 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale) while enrolled in the nursing program
- May be full-time or part-time students
