Programme objectives are constantly met by upgrading the syllabus according to present day need. Learning outcomes are monitored by conducting classroom tests, internal assessments and external evaluations. In addition to it assignments, project works, group discussions, survey on current issues and field trips (APCOST Regional Science center, LANCO power plant,Doppler weather reporting center, APHMEL, TV transmission station, SDSC, Doppler weather reporting center Sriharikota)are conducted.

  • Conducted theory and practical orientation classes for the X class students of B.S.R.K. Municipal High School, Municipal Corporation High School, Child Aid Foundation School, VJA annually.
  • Donated practical equipment to X class students of Municipal Corporation High School, VJA.
  • Donated clothes and provisions to flood affected people of Ramalingeswara nagar, VJA.
  • Donated pens and note books to the hostel students of “Child Aid Foundation School”, Vijayawada.
  • Every year donate an amount of Rs.1000 to the children of HIV affected people.

The department inaugurated a club “Spectrum” with faculty and students of Physics as members. The activities taken up by the club are –

  • To do project works, conduct of Science exhibition, demonstration ofcomputer simulations and conduct ofseminars.
  • G. Meenakshi is a member of Board of Studies of JMJ College, Tenali.
  • Faculty act as Paper Setters, Evaluators and Examiners for various autonomous colleges.
  • The department of Physics has entered intoMOUwithAcharya Nagarjuna University, Koneru Lakshmaiah University,Andhra Loyola College, P.B.S College of Arts & Science (P.G. Dept.), Vijayawada for doingminor research projects.
  • On job training progrmmes on Mechanism and Repairs of Domestic Appliances like T.V, Tube-lights, Fans, Air conditioner and Lens Making are conducted.
