A Guide to Making LCIF Coordinator Reports
to Lions Leaders
The following information is recommended for inclusion when making and presenting LCIF reports to your local Lions and Lion leaders. The information listed below is available by contactingthe LCIF Development Department. On the reverse, find a sample Council/Cabinet report template foryour use and adaption.
Provide an LCIF Grant history to show any past/present LCIF support of local Lions’ projects
- LCIF “Grant History” reports are available by contacting the LCIF Development Department Staff. These reports also include the date of the last grant awarded by LCIF.
- Have several years have passed without any LCIF grants being awarded? This may indicate a need to educate local Lions clubs or the District Governor about the availability of LCIF grants and how to put forward an application that fits LCIF’s grant criteria.
- Does your district have LCIF grants that have not yet been “closed”?This means a final report has not been provided to LCIF by the grant recipients; this may limit new grants to the area.
Provide a summary of the area’s past and present support of LCIF
- An LCIF “Donation History”(by district, by year from 1970-present) may reveal patterns in local Lions’ giving and provide a baseline for comparison.
- The “Total Donations” report is in district order and sums donations by each multiple district. It is designed to give the total amount donated to date (for the current fiscal year) and is broken-up by the donation type (District, Club, Personal, etc.).
- Be sure to include updates about CSFII funds raised/pledge progress. CSFII reports are available on the LCIF Web site at the following Web page location:
Provide a summary of the number of Melvin Jones Fellows and Progressive MJFs
- Using the “MJF/PMJF Listing”report, give the current number of MJFs and Progressive Fellowships in the area. Recipient names, with the processing dates of their fellowships, are listed alphabetically by club name. This report reflects the highest level of Progressive issued and also any additional funds toward the next Fellowship level.
- Using the “Status of Installments” report, cite the dollar amount that is currently available for recognition purposes and how many Lions in the area are within US$-amount of achieving the next Fellowship level. This report is in alphabetic order by club name and recipient and shows all donations toward MJFs that have not yet been consumed. “Unnamed” amounts are club or district funds.
- Amounts listed under an individual’s name are personal contributions or were given expressly to that person and are not available for club/district use without permission from that individual or their surviving family/spouse or the executor of their estate.

Additional Notes or Updates:
Did you know that if your town has a catastrophe your district governor can with a phone call from the club president can request a $5000.00 grant to help the people of that town from LCIF.
I do have all the information if anyone needs to know how many MJF or how much the club has donated in the past to LCIF for history of the club.
Yours in Lionism,
