The regular meeting of the Historical Commission was held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 3:00 pm inside the East Marlborough Township Building, Board Room, 72l Unionville Road, Kennett Square, Pa.

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Rosecrans at 3:00 pm.

The minutes for the meeting of January 25, 2010 were incomplete.

OLD BUSINESS

Steps to Procedures and Documentation of Historic Properties

Mr. Rosecrans provided training to HC members on the procedures and guidelines on identifying historic properties for township officials. As part of the GIS/Survey Project the HC will develop a map where township officials easily locate historic resources by classification (I, II).

TECHNOLOGY UPDATE

Mr. McGrail stated that he renewed the HC Web site domain name and hosting services for one year at a cost of $121.40. He also indicated that he updated the Web site’s Meeting Dates for 2010 and Minutes pages with current information. Mrs. Kaskey is working on the Oddity section to be added to the HC Web site.

CLG REPORT

Mrs. Brown is in the process of gathering the statistic for the report.

HC ORDINANCES

During the training-in house Mr. Rosecrans stated that the steps to procedures and documentation of historic properties are based on the Historic Ordinances.

FUTURE NETWORK WORKSHOPS

A Network Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 on Green Preservation at the Brandywine River Museum. Mrs. Brown took a count of HC members that will attend (Beach, Brown, Dugan, Kaskey, McGrail, Patton, & Rosecrans).
