AAHA Board Meeting Minutes

Called to Order: 6:29 PM

1.P. Hartel:
WAHA meeting is 5/19 in Rothschild, WI. They will be voting on changing the status of Tier I teams, making the playdown a $100 fee per team and those who qualify for State would then pay an additional $600 but there would be no gate fees, each region could have no more than 2 teams at State, and approving the changes in WAHA State weekends. There is a link on the WAHA website that allows people to vote for or against the proposed State date changes.
Cliff Watson (AU Boys Varsity Coach) has offered to do goalie clinics during the season on Wednesday nights from 8-9 pm.
Girls State Champs banner is ordered.
There were 5 applications for the interim Travel Director position. The Board reviewed these and has asked two candidates to come to the June Board meeting to present their positions. The final decision will be made at that meeting.
Registration will be opening soon. Will announce in Hotwire and on Website and include that all outstanding fees must be paid prior to registration.
Guns and Hoses net was about $1500 for AAHA. Getting prices on goalie gear for purchase.
2.D. Flanagan:
Will pick up the gift certificates for the Brinkhoffs and send along with a letter of appreciation for the Wizard Blizzard work.
Making application for Oktoberfest booth. Recommend walking tacos as a food to serve and will work with membership to see if we could get donations. Will list on Volunteer Spot for volunteer credits.
3.D. Cramer:
Presented year-end balance sheet and P & L reports.
Will plan to send out letters with invoices to members with outstanding balances from past years prior to registration.
