GRADE 1
- Skillbuilders – Ms. Arbolino
Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Skillbuilders provides chance for 1st grade students to experience enriching and skill building activities in the areas of Language Arts and Mathematics. The focus of the club is to provide students with exciting activities that support first grade skills.
- Homework Club – Mrs. Munro and Mrs. Armstrong
Wednesdays and Thursdays
Homework Club is to give homework assistance to at-risk students in a small group or 1:1 environment. Meetings will be in Mrs. Munro’s room on Wednesdays and Mrs. Armstrong’s room on Thursdays.
- Successmaker Club – Mrs. E. Moore
Thursdays and Fridays
SuccessMaker Club provides an opportunity for students to participate in a computer based diagnostic program which provides animated experiences that build understanding in reading and mathematics. This individualized approach allows for areas of difficulty to be identified and improvement of student understanding increased.
- Raz Kids Club – Mrs. Hufford
Tuesdays and Wednesdays
The Raz Kids Reading Club utilizes the interactive reading website Raz Kids on individual tablets or computers. The club provides extra reading practice needed to gain confidence and improve reading skills. The children listen to, read, and use online tools to interact with exciting and interesting fiction and nonfiction leveled books and then complete online quizzes. The online quizzes can be monitored by both teachers and parents to track progress and reading growth. They record their oral reading to help gain fluency. There are great interactive tools available to highlight, write on and stamp the online reader. This club is designed to motivate and enhance your child’s reading experience.

Have fun reading chapter books and completing activities that build comprehension and connections with the story.
- Have Fun and Make Friends – Mrs. Verpeut
Thursdays
Do you like having fun, making new friends or getting to know your classmates better? Have Fun and Make Friends gives you a chance to play games and participate in team-building activities while learning how to cooperate and build new friendships. If you enjoy being happy and laughing a lot, then you will enjoy this club!

Skillbuilders provides the students with hands-on activities that will help strengthen their skills in the areas of Mathematics and Language Arts. Through the use of games, computers, manipulatives, novels, and other resources, your child will be exposed to fun and meaningful academic activities that will support their learning.

“Let’s Work Together” homework club is to help students acquire good study habits and assist them with daily homework as a means to achieve more classroom success. Meetings will be in Mrs. Watters’s room on Wednesdays and Mrs. Willis’s room on Thursdays.

This club will incorporate fitness, flexibility, nutrition, and sport-themed games. Students must wear sneakers and comfortable clothing appropriate for that day’s weather.
- Tiger Techs – Mrs. Schwenk
Wednesdays
Technology is more than just computers! Come create fun objects for the virtual and real world. Students can design their own digital character, build a piano from bananas, program a robot singing telegram or print their own 3D creation. Then, have fun in our Makerspace building a Kinex rollercoaster, magnetic structures, rubberband/duct tape accessories and more. From avatars to origami, come help technology come to life.
- Games Galore – Mrs. Ackerman and Mrs. Guarini
Thursdays
Come join us for some fun and games. If you like to play board games, this is the club for you! We will be playing chess, Monopoly, Mancala, Apples to Apples, Charades and Uno to name a few. Be part of the games club and have fun with your friends.

The “Kiwanis Kids Club” is part of an international organization that provides students with the opportunity to learn core values about character building, how to become a leader, and the importance of helping others through volunteering. Patriotism and love for our country, is one of the building blocks of our mission to learn how to make the world a better place.
GRADE 4
- Skillbuilders – Mrs. Verpeut
Tuesdays (Language Arts) and Wednesdays (Math)
Language Arts - Develop your reading skills, vocabulary skills, and critical thinking skills by reading about remarkable people who have changed the world! For example, read about Leonardo da Vinci, who was an inventor, musician, engineer, scientist, and the painter of the Mona Lisa. Learn about Harriet Tubman, the woman who devoted her entire life to helping others, and actually, helped over 300 slaves gain their freedom. Marvel at the accomplishments of the aviator, Amelia Earhart, who dared to do things that no other woman had ever attempted. Lastly, read about Albert Einstein, whose mathematical and scientific formulas and discoveries helped to change the world!
Math- By playing games, like football multiplication and Bingo, as well as using Versa Tiles, mastering challenging 4th grade math skills and concepts make learning math both fun and interesting!
