  • Music Department Chair, Saint Joseph’s College (January 2015 – present)

Serve as chief academic officer in the department. Set and enforce departmental policies.

Interview and hire new personnel. Facilities and resource management. Run faculty meetings. Assign class loads to music faculty. Negotiated pay raise for adjunct professors. In charge of budgets. Department reports and evaluations. Created and managed music seminar, special guests, and departmental recitals. Provide active support for the graduate music program.

  • Associate Professor, Saint Joseph's College (August 2005 - present)

Promoted and tenured from Assistant Professor in 2012.

Teaching includes: Classes in Music Theory I-IV, Jazz Theory I-II, Sight Singing I-IV, Form and Analysis, Counterpoint, Instrumental Arranging, Composition, Music History I-IV, Music for Elementary School Teachers, Improvisation, Jazz History, Applied Trumpet, Western Civilization. Duties Include: Direct sales of musical instruments and pro audio gear. Personal clients included 20th Century Fox, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and the Juilliard School of Music. Weekly meetings with representatives of major music technology manufacturers for product evaluations and demonstrations. Duties included: Organized national clinics, evaluated and granted certification to American coaches, attended executive board meetings, created and maintained a social media online presence, created and implemented recognition and awards for Olympic coaches and NCAA athletes, and presented at national events. Served as US Ambassador at the 2013 World Championships in Italy.

Duties included: Organized Indiana tournaments, maintained a budget, hired personnel, handled petitions from membership, conducted business affairs with the national office.
