Macoupin County State Fair Winners Announced-
On Saturday. August 14, 2010, over forty 4-H youth from Macoupin County exhibited their 4-H projects during the Illinois State Fair. Projects exhibited ranged from foods and nutrition and woodworking, to interior design and photography.
Those youth chosen to exhibit at the Illinois State Fair won top honors within their own counties. The Illinois State Fair exhibitors took their projects to the State Fair where they participated in conference judging similar to their experience at the county fair. It’s important to remember that the youth are not competing against each other. They are competing against the project standards. Those projects meeting standards receive an Award for Excellence (A of E). Those projects far exceeding standards receive a Superior (S).
