Dear Parent/Guardian:
I would like to welcome you to Bessie Haynes Elementary a TEA Recognized campus! I hope that everyone has experienced an enjoyable summer and that you are looking forward to returning to Bessie Haynes Elementary for another successful year in 2011-2012. The purpose of this letter is to welcome you to Bessie Haynes Elementary.
Students should report to the cafeteria upon arrival to the campus. In the morning the first bell will sound at 7:55 a.m. The tardy bell will sound at 8:00 a.m. Students will be dismissed from the cafeteria to the classroom and the day will start with breakfast in the classroom. The school day ends at 3:30 p.m. Your cooperation in this matter will greatly assist us in maintaining student safety.
In order to maximize your child’s academic performance as well as to enhance his/her overall Elementary experience, we encourage all parents to establish positive relationships with your child’s teachers. We believe that communication between home and school is an essential component in academic achievement. Our dedicated staff can be contacted via the telephone at 432-447-7497.
