No 23 - CIWW Stand Up Paddle Board Race River Ely – Sunday 9th October 2016
The CIWW Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) race will take place on the River Taff from Cardiff International White Water (CIWW) on Sunday 9th of October.
The race will start at 0930hrs with the last competitor expected to have completed the course by 1300hrs. There will be five accompanying event support vessels on the water at all times.
The turning point will be marked by a yellow pillar buoy on the River Taff outside the Principality Stadium. Competitors will head from CIWW, down stream to the Bay, turn left across the Bay and into the Taff until the stadium, the course will then be reversed. Vessels navigating the river are asked to keep wash to a minimum during racing.
No 24 – Cardiff Head Of The River Race - Sunday 9th October 2016
On Sunday 9th October 2016, the Cardiff Autumn Head will take place on the River Taff.
Racing will take place between CastleStreetBridge and the outer River Taff navigation buoys, at the entrance to the River Taff.
Racing will take place between approximately 0945 hrs to 1100 hrs and 1315 to 1430 hours.
All unauthorised vessels will be excluded from entry to the River Taff during these times.
Any vessels that wish to navigate from Channel View (Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre) or downstream of ClarenceRoadBridge during this period should contact the Harbour Master or on the day Barrage Control who will be in contact with race management vessels who will be able to advise on when navigation is possible.
