2006 Outstanding Corporate Engineering Community Service Award
Purpose:
The IEEE Region 6 Area Outstanding Corporate Engineering Community Service Award,
specifically recognizes support provided by a company to the Institute, and its members, in attaining its goals. The award is presented to companies who encourage and support IEEE membership and volunteer activities. In particular, the atmosphere created by the company should facilitate the IEEE volunteer(s) to fulfill their responsibilities as an IEEE volunteer.
Examples of support worthy of award recognition include: Underwriting all or a portion of IEEE annual membership dues for employees; Providing time-off for travel to IEEE meetings and providing full or partial reimbursement for associated expenses; Offering company space to conduct IEEE meetings; Sponsoring or patronizing (contributing funds) IEEE professional or technical conferences or meetings.

Scope:One award annually
Nomination Package:
Nomination Form completed by nominator. Additional long resume or informational document may be submitted at the discretion of the nominator.
Selection Committee:
Awards Committee will evaluate all nominations..
Presentation:
Presentation venue, date, and location are at the discretion of the recipient section. Where possible, the Area Awards and Advancement Chair, or an Area Executive Committee representative will attend to present the award on behalf of the Area.
