The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) (Headquarters offices are in Ann Arbor, Michigan) is an Illinois-based nonprofit membership organization serving Chief Information Officers and Senior Healthcare Executives.
Description:
The primary function of this position is to provide general logistical and administrative support for a variety of CHIME meetings and events. The Events Associatewill work with staff, key stakeholders and members, vendors, attendees, supplier members and speakers on several aspects of logistical planning, registration, and travel arrangements for a variety of CHIME events.

- Domestic travel to some CHIME events or other professional events may be required during week-ends and holidays.
- This position reports to the Vice President and Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with development and management of event logistical planning to include: registration, accommodations, catering, décor, entertainment,and offsite event management.
- Provide administrative support for mailings, general correspondence, website updates, mobile applications, historical information/reporting, inventory of supplies, and materials for events, RFP's for required vendors, preparing conference materials, serving as the department web liaison.
- Create a variety of forms and documents for events as needed.
- Field and respond to all event inquiries and requests.
- Generate lists and reports as needed for registration, housing, speakers and VIPs.
- Organize, prepare and ensure accurate meeting-related communications with registrants and internal staff.

Position Requirements:
- Excellent and demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with event registration software and databases
- Ability to effectively balance and prioritize numerous tasks and assignments from varying stakeholders and meet deadlines.
- Discipline to successfully work with and without close supervision.
- Non-profit development experience or familiarity with non-profit organizations, preferred.
- Demonstrated creative and strategic thinker.
- Positive self-starter. Take initiative on projects, with ability to create timelines and execute towards achievable deadlines.
- Healthcare IT industry experience, a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a team environment.
Education
- Bachelor's degree + 1 years' experience preferred or equivalent experience in a professional events and/or meeting planning setting, required
