Guidance Notes on completing the Structured Application Form
These notes will help you to complete the application form to the best of your ability and gain an understanding of what you can expect from this process.
The application form consists of two main parts:
Part A: Personal Details and Career History
Part B: Statement of Suitability and Evidence against the Director, Energy role.
The evidence you provide in your application form will be used in the shortlisting process to decide whether you will proceed to the next stage. Please complete the form accurately and include all the requested information. If you do not complete the form fully, it may be rejected on the basis of lack of evidence. CVs are not accepted.

Ensure you structure your supporting statement clearly and coherently, referencing how your skills and experience will help you to do this. - Competency Based Evidence
Listed on the following pages are the essential and desirable criteria from the Position Description (please refer to the Candidate Information Pack for the full text of this document). For each of the criteria you are asked to offer an example of how you believe you meet this from recent or past work experience. The example(s) you choose to describe will form the basis of your answers. The examples you give can be taken from any aspect of your life, for example: your work, your job seeking experiences, your family or home responsibilities, your leisure activities or voluntary work. However, recent work examples tend to be the strongest indicator of your abilities, so we recommend that you use these where possible.

a)Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experiencein a related field (district heating and cooling, energy efficiency, energy services, power utilities, energy sector regulation and governance, power generation), including five (5) years of demonstrated experience managing teams and/or overseeing projects (Essential).b)Experience working on projects funded by international organizations(Essential).
c)Knowledge of Kosovo’s energy sector laws, regulations, policies, etc.(Essential).
d)Familiarity with international trends in the development and deployment of district heating and energy efficiency technologies as well as in private sector participation in the power and sectors (Essential).
e)Familiarity with development, construction, and operations of infrastructure projects (Essential).
f)Ability to interact constructively and strategically with leaders, acting as consultants, technical and construction experts, government and regulatory officials, energy and power utility professionals, customers of energy services, and civil society(Essential).
g)Demonstrated experience as a leader and in consensus building, with a strong capability to multi-task and manage multiple work streams simultaneously(Essential).
h)Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural local and international stakeholders and counterparts(Essential).
i)Demonstrated history of managing and delivering high quality projects on time and within budget, including experience developing, monitoring and updating relevant project management tools (schedules, budgets, scoping documents, risk management plans);(Essential).
j)Demonstrated strong supervisory and mentoring skills (Essential).
k)Experience in all phases of procurements and contract management (Desirable).
l)Experience with change management and achieving behavior change, especially utilizing data and information to promote change(Desirable).
