GENERAL BODY MEETING OF SNATTA NAGERCOIL SSA
After the successful formation of SNATTA Nagercoil, SSA on 24th August 2013, the second General Body meeting of SNATTA of Nagercoil SSA was conducted on 28.9.2013 under the presidentship of Com. S. Noorul Ameen, TTA, DP, SNATTA, NGC SSA, at Thuckalay Telephone Exchange of Nagercoil SSA of Tamil Nadu Circle. Besides initial enrolment of 13 members cutting across their affiliated union, 09 new members have enrolled and participated in the meeting.
The meeting started at 1800 hrs. The newly enrolled members have introduced themselves. The President has welcomed the new members and delivered the inaugural speech. He expressed anguish over spreading of false propaganda by a recognized union office bearer about the formation of SNATTA in NGC SSA and asked the TTAs to be more vigilant and not to fall prey to such rumour mongers. Mr. K. Kaliappan, Treasurer, SNATTA NGC SSA has given the welcoming address. He insisted the TTAs regarding the necessity of having membership in SNATTA. He exposed that the recognized BSNLEU union has majority in only 8 SSAs and NFTE in 9 SSAs whereas, our SNATTA SSA bodies are already formed in 11 SSAs of Tamil Nadu Circle and is growing gradually in every district . He requested all participants to be generous in contributing legal fund and assist the Circle office to fight for our cause on various issues.
Com. J. Ramesh Kannan, TTA has addressed the meet and explained the various issues took up by our regional and central office of SNATTA, including the points recommended by SNATTA CHQ fort National JCM.He categorically stated that the formation of SNATTA body at District level is organized exclusively for meeting the damands of TTAs and not for disintegrating any recognized union as envisaged or anticipated by the recognized union. He also insisted upon keeping a separate Notice Board in vital points besides GM Office, NGC, as our identity, and also for disseminating the important information relevant to our cadre, which will be an eye opening for others.
Mr. C. Joseph, TTA, the District Secretaryhas delivered the prime speech and discussed various problems related to TTAs and covered up all pending issues of TTAs and the course of action taken/present status at Circle level and Central level. He emphasized that only SNATTA could take up various issues pertaining to TTAs for National JCM.
Among the participants, Com. T. Gopalakrishnan and Com. Y. Jeeva Arunhave also addressed the meet. Finally, the meeting has come to an end at 2015 hrs with the vote of thanks given by Com. A. Robin Vetharaj, TTA.
Issues taken up for Discussion:
Besides existing issues of TTAs, following fresh points are discussed and passed unanimously.
1.It is decided to find out any BSNL rules/policy letters pertaining to shuffling of TTAs working for more than five years at a given place.
2.To discuss the pending transfer related issues of different TTAs.
3.Ensure extension of necessary support and recognition of visiting TTAs who are attending various maintenance activities in different BSNL offices.
4.It is decided to contribute Rs. 300 per members of 2002 batch and Rs. 100 from other members and hand over to the Circle office towards legal fund, as advised.
5. Keeping in view of new members joining District SNATTA, the Executive Committee shall be expanded in the next meet.
6.At present, our CS SNATTA TN Circle has become a member in Regional JCM. We wish him all the best in his new endeavour. It will be our pride to take up any important issues of TTAs needed immediate attention of Circle office through our representative. All other local issues can be sorted out locally with the Management as our Sr.GM is more receptive in sorting out our problems amicably. Moreover, District SNATTA is likely to be represented in Local JCM shortly as promised by our trusted partner NFTE.
