Background

  1. The Promoter is Department of Education and Training (DET) (ABN 52 705 101 522) and is operating this trade promotion lotterywithout a permit in accordance with section 5.7.2 of the Gaming Regulation Act 2003 and is consistent with Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) guidelines located at:
  1. For the purposes of the trade promotion lottery the Supervisor is theExecutive Director, International Division,DET or their nominee.
  2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.

Eligibility

  1. Entry to the competition is restricted to prospective international students, their families and DET accredited education agencies recruiting Chinese international students to Victorian government schools.
  1. Entry is not open to any person associated with the Competition, or with the provision of the prize(s), and their immediate families.

Entry Requirements

  1. The promotion commences on Friday27 April at 9:00pm Beijing time and concludes on Thursday 24 May 2018 at 8.00pm Beijing time (Promotional Period).
  2. To enter the competition, eligible participants must scan the QR code on a poster available at a DET accredited education agency office and subscribe to the Victorian Public Schools WeChat Chinese social media account.
  3. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of subscription. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.

Prizes – Winners

  1. There will be 200subscriber winners in totalfor the competition whowill be chosen at random. There will also be 3 accredited education agency winners chosen based on the top three highest recruiting education agency offices of new WeChat subscribers during this competition.
  2. The subscriber winners of the draw will be notified instantly through the WeChat platform through a ‘scratch and win’ link. The education agencywinners will be announced after the close of the Promotional Periodby the Department of Education and Training on Friday 25 May 2018.Education agencies will be notified by telephone and/or email and their names published on the Department’s WeChat social media channel and website on Friday 23 May 2018.
  3. The subscriber winners will each receive a Victorian Public Schools branded iphone case. Participating accredited education agency winners will receive:

Golden Ambassador Prize: a 3-day study tour for one education agent of Victorian Public Schools and attendance at the Victorian Global Learning Awards hosted by the Parliamentary Secretary for Education, in Melbourne. Victorian Public Schools will cover one return economy flight, three nights’ accommodation in Melbourne and transportation to Victorian government schools for one agency staff member. The Golden Ambassador Prize winner will also win an Apple iPad Pro 64G.
  5. Second Prize: Apple iPad 64G.
  6. Third Prize: 500RMB JD Shopping Card.
  7. If the prizesare unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes for prizes of equal or greater value, subject to state regulation.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of any prize claim or entry before awarding a prize.
  9. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.
  11. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  12. The Promotor will obtain address details from the winning entrants.

Nature of entries

  1. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or programming associated with or utilised in collecting data for this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

  1. Except where specified in these terms and conditions, entrant details will not be used for any other purpose.
  2. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion. If you do not provide your personal information, the Promoter will not be able to enter you into this promotion.
