Your initial meeting with Dr. Bar Hava will include a thorough overall assessment, and a treatment program will be identifiedaccording to your specific fertility condition. Right after this meeting you will receive a detailed guidance which includes the following:Anelaborate chart that describes your treatment program, lab referrals for blood and urine tests, referrals for genetic testing, consent forms to be signed before starting the actual treatment, prescriptions, injections instructions and training on how to inject the hormones – if needed. Please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you like. Clarifying all points promise a better treatment later on.

Before starting a fertility treatment both you and your spouse need to take the required blood tests that were given to you, as well as the genetic testing.

I do want to emphasize the importance of taking folic acid and a multivitamin even before one is pregnant.

We will be able to begin the treatment according to the dates you will receive from Dr. Bar Hava. The first day of the period is considered such on the first day of strong bleeding. The instructions will refer to this day as Day One. referral day

When you do receive your period please leave us a message notifying us of that factand that you are starting the planned treatment. We will call back to inform you when you should take your first blood tests (Estradiol, Progesterone and LH levels). You may take these tests at your local

HMO, or if you come from abroad please consult with us regarding labs. The important thing is that you must verify that lab results will be ready on the same day.

Once you have received your hormones results from the lab, please contact us immediately to notify us of the results. You can also fax us / e mail us the results. Fax # is +972-3-7441991 or

We will process the results and notify you of further instructions (You may be invited for an ultrasound on that day, receive a revised hormones treatment or be asked to take another blood test in a few days). If something goes wrong and the lab does not have your results on the same day, please contact us regardless so we may decide what to do.

Monitoring follicular developmentis done by Orna – an experienced ultrasound technician that is also the head technician of the Gyn. ward at WolfsonMedicalCenter. We also have Dr. Gilboa on our staff – an expert gynecologist that specializes in ultrasound and works in Tel Hashomer hospital – Israel's largest women's ward.

If your treatment includes insemination, we also have a sperm lab adjacent that is managed by Yaakov – an expert embryologist.

The insemination will take place in our clinic. Make sure to equip yourself with a sterile cup from our clinic. This will enable you to give sperm at your preferred location and bring it to us within an hour – hour and a half. Do not refrain from sexual intercourse during the treatment and even not before insemination or egg retrieval. If you need to undergo IVF treatment, Dr. Bar Hava will perform the egg retrieval and the embryo transfer personally.

  • If you do belong to the Clalit HMO they will participate in the costs of the drugs you need. For this to happen you need to take the prescriptions you receive from us to your HMO clinic and receive approval from the district Doctor that indeed you are eligible for IVF treatment. Once you receive this approval, you may take the prescriptions and buy them in any drugstore that is affiliated with "Clalit" (there is a SuperPharm in the adjacent Ramat Aviv mall that will honor your prescriptions).
  • Members of Leumit or Meuchedet HMO, need to convert our prescriptions with their local HMO family doctor or the HMO's gynecologist.
  • Members of Maacabi HMO do not need to convert our prescriptions but can only buy them at dedicated Maacabi drugstores.

Do take note that Dr. Bar Hava does not work on Saturdays (but is available to answer urgent question all year around)

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, hesitations, concern or feedback you might have – We are here to ensure you receive the most professional and effective treatment.

We wish you the best of luck!!
