GENERAL MEETING MINUTES
October 16, 2012
Present: Director Tony Cicerelli, Director Rich Martin, Director Rick Goedde, Fire Chief Jeff Dorhauer, Fire Marshal Ed Nicholson, Administrative Assistant Rita Bartlett, Attorney John Kaltenbronn, Captain Mike Bohrn, Engineer Mike Oakes, Firefighter Brad Smith, Lake Ozark Shootout Committee: Mark, Frank and Ron.
Director Cicerelli called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
Public Comment:
Ron Duggan of the Lake Ozark Shootout presented a check for: $2,955.87 to Osage Beach Fire Protection District for 2012 participation.
Consent Agenda:
Director Goedde made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Director Martin seconded the motion. Approved. Motion passed.
New Business:
Chief Dorhauer provided the call volume report in the absence of an Assistant Chief. The call volume is up over the previous year at this time.
Chief Dorhauer reported that one sealed bid from TBS Electronics was admitted. They offer a four year warranty. It met the specifications and was sent to legal. Director Martin made a motion to approve. Director Goedde seconded the motion. Approved. Motion passed.
Chief Dorhauer stated he has replied to Steve Steck’s letter by sending a registered letter with signature and photo of fireworks. Attorney Kaltenbronn suggested Mr. Steck speak his peace and provide names and times. Mr. Steck may request to speak at board meeting and be included in agenda.
Chief Dorhauer informed the board that the only SOG change was Deputy Fire Chief has been renamed to Assistant Fire Chief. Director Martin made a motion to approve the presented SOG’s for change. Director Goedde seconded the motion. Approved. Motion passed.
Chief Dorhauer presented to the board that per State Statute 447.539, that after June 30th of each year, but prior to November 1st, the District will make reasonable attempts to contact Individual/Corporation of unclaimed property. To date, no items have been found.

Chief Dorhauer spoke to legal counsel (Attorney Kaltenbronn) regarding the new law that excluded fire districts from performing inspections. OBFPD will provide a contract with the city regarding inspections. Chief Dorhauer thought a $50.00 fee; set by the board would be a good idea.
Motion to accept revised city, council and fire chief for approval. Director Martin made a motion to approve. Director Goedde seconded the motion. Approved. Motion passed.
Reports:
Fire Marshall Nicholson reported that complimentary dock inspections were down.
Captain’s report was accepted as submitted.
Board of Directors had nothing additional to report.
Roll call vote to adjourn to Executive Session for discussion of Personnel at 4:15p.m.: Director Cicerelli – yes; Director Martin – yes; Director Goedde – yes.
General Meeting reconvened at 4:25 p.m. with Director Cicerelli stating nothing to announce.
Meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
Budget meeting is November 13, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.
Next scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors is Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
