Un Viaje Parte II Additional Guidelines

New Due Dates: Written copy: Thurs. May 16, Presentations begin Monday, May 20th.

Prezis

*3 extra credit points if you use a PREZI to present.

*The Prezi must have a path so a click will move from slide to slide without having to search for the picture. (See the Prezi tutorial on the website).

*Do not make your Prezi private. ( I will deduct points if you must log on to get your Prezi to open.)

Power Points

*Power Points must be able to open on my computer or I will deduct points. (If you are unsure, use a Prezi)

*I have Microsoft Power Point 2007

Remember:

*NO WRITING on Powerpoint/Prezi except for the name of the places in Spanish.

*All places, attractions, events, must be actual and the pictures used must also include a clear link to its source that is easily identified and easy to follow.

*Each person must do each part (1-4)

On #1 use actual hotels and make comparisons. If you choose to do a video presentation of this part of presentation, an actual picture of the hotel exterior must be in slide show, even if you are using your actual rooms to act out the scenes. (see “video rules” below).

On #2 one of the people from the group must be presenting a well-known cultural event famous in that country. (If this is missing the whole group loses points.)

On #3 use the name and picture of at least 1 actual restaurant. You can all talk about a different entrée at the same restaurant or you may each talk about foods from different ACTUAL restaurants. The foods should be typical foods of the country…not hamburgers, fries, doughnuts, etc.

On #4 you must present at least 3 items you bought on your trip, tell where you bought them, and how much you paid for them. Be sure to include how you bargained for at least 1 of the items. Present a picture of these items as you talk about them.

*Be sure to use plenty of vocabulary from Unit 9 & 10 and additional vocabulary sheets.

* Presentation will be mostly in preterite tense and possibly some imperfect tense, (unless you are including a video).

*Only one Powerpoint/Prezi per group and only one EXTRA written copy turned in per group.

Video Rules(if you choose to video the 1 or 2 of the allowed scenes):

Hotel scene – must show at least one room (bedroom, exercise room, etc.) that represents a room in one of the hotels. You and your partners will be comparing the other hotel’s accommodations with the present accommodations (the room in which you are currently located). Real exterior pictures of the hotels in which you are pretending to have stayed are still required.

Restaurant scene –must show at least one scene at a dining table that represents a restaurant. You and your partners will be comparing the named dishes that you are each eating with one another’s dishes OR you may compare the (named )dishes to another restaurant in which you are pretending to have eaten. Real exterior pictures of the restaurant(s) are still required.

The same rules of video taping from Part One apply to this presentation EXCEPT please include the link to a you tube video that I can copy and paste into gaggletube. DO NOT MAKE IT PRIVATE AND DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR LAST NAMES, CHS INFORMATION, OR IDENTIFIABLE INFO IN THE YOU TUBE VIDEO.
