How to Use the On-Track Registration System

Registering for a Professional Learning Session/Class

STEP ONE: Open the OUSD web page (www.ousd.k12.ca.us) and locate the Employee Intranet icon near the top right of the screen.

STEP TWO: Press the Employee Intranet icon. If asked to log in, please enter your OUSD email address () and password. If you are unable to log into the intranet, contact the Technology Services Help Desk at 879-8178.

STEP THREE: Under the first row of applications near the top of the page, click the “See all apps” button and locate the link to On-Track. It should be a yellow icon in the fourth row.

STEP FOUR: Click on the On-Track icon and log into On-Track using your OUSD user name (first.last without the “@ousd.k12.ca.us”) and password.

From this point, directions will give two options for enrolling.

Option 1 – by subject

STEP FIVE: From the Main Menu, click on the “Certificated Catalog” button. This will open a list of certificated subject areas. Click on the subject in which you are interested and scroll through the list of classes in that area until you find what you are looking for.

STEP SIX: Click on the title of the training for which you would like to register. Scroll down to find the date(s) you’re looking for and press the “Register” button next to the listed date(s). You should receive an automated confirmation to your OUSD email address upon completing enrollment.

Option 2 – by PDID number

STEP FIVE: From the Main Menu, click the “Full Catalog” button. In the search window at the top of the list of classes, enter the PDID number (it should consist of two letters and four numbers such as PD1234) and hit search. This will open the class detail screen for that class where you will find the available dates and “Register” buttons. Press the button to enroll in the appropriate date(s). You should receive an automated confirmation to your OUSD email address upon completing enrollment.

Registration Confirmation

There are three ways that a teacher’s registration will be confirmed.

1. Once a teacher registers for a class/session, the screen will state, “You have successfully been registered.”

2. A class/session confirmation email from On-Track will be sent to the teacher’s ousd email.

3. Once in the On-Track Registration system, click on the, “My Profile” button near the top of the screen, scroll down the My Profile page to the Current/Class Registration section and the courses that have been registered for will be listed.
