Internship Proposal

Michele Dunnpresented on the cooperative education program. Currently students can take a 4 or 2 credit co-op. There is a proposal that was brought to ARC to put forward an internship with 0 or 1 credit. This can create a problem with tracking student success and various liability issues. The Provost noted we do not have a policy for this process.

The Provost did not approve of the proposal presented to ARC and recommended to keep the co-op process that exists until such time that a policy is created and approved.

A policy that describes the co-op process will need to be created in the near future.
