Melanie Knapp:THe OASIS site is not working. When it is back up, we can all record our attendance.
Monica: I have problem with the Italian number
Melanie Knapp: We are talking about an agenda for today. I am waiting for Fabio. I hope he joins.
Melanie Knapp: Monica, is Fabio available today do you know?
John Heywood: Melanie, I'm going to have to leave the call at 10:30 for another meeting...
Melanie Knapp: @John, OK, thanks.
Melanie Knapp: record your attendance

Fabio Vitali: hello
Fabio Vitali: 5 minutes and I'll call in
Fabio Vitali: sorry
Melanie Knapp: Fabio is emailing the document. Check your email.
Melanie Knapp: I'm still waiting for it to arrive
Melanie Knapp: It arrived.
Melanie Knapp: Fabio thinks this describes the core of the technical proposal. We should discuss this in detail at our next meeting.
Melanie Knapp: Fabio, we can't hear you anymore.
Melanie Knapp: You are back, but we missed much.
John Heywood: Sorry, but I've got to run to my other meeting. I'll check back when I'm done.
Melanie Knapp: @John H--OK. Read that document for next time. Save your questions and comments for Fabio. OR, email the group before the next meeting with points.
Daniel Bennett: Where can we have this document to add comments? Like for non-geographic jurisdictions. Why not also show an XML representation which would allow for a schema, variation of schemas, data validation.... and many other comments.
Daniel Bennett: @fabio thanks. will look for the wiki.
Daniel Bennett: did not mean to interupt
Melanie Knapp: Features should be identified for each document type by the subcommittees. For example, non-georgraphic is very interesting, especially for court documents (like special tribunals, etc.), but leave that to the subcommittee. Subcommittees need to get to work on features lists with values.
Daniel Bennett: @fabio ok
Monica: Jurisdiction is not only geographic but we can discuss later on
Melanie Knapp: These needed features will help the technical SC make necessary solutions.
Monica: I am not confortable to use the term "jurisdiction" it is better to use "sovereignty" or simil concept that is limited to geographic semantic.
Daniel Bennett: hmmm JSON reminds me of Jason of Friday 13th horror movies, similarly scary
Monica: Also the term "interpretation" needs to be substitute with more appropriate term, hopefully not linked with the legal interpretation theory concepts in order to not make confusion.
Daniel Bennett: some people use metadata
John Dann: Hi, Sorry I have to leave ...
Melanie Knapp: Bye bye, John D.
Daniel Bennett: no sound?
Thomas Francart: Can't hear Fabio anymore
Melanie Knapp: Fabio, we can't hear you.
Thomas Francart: stopped at "linearization"
Melanie Knapp: I think Fabio lost his connection. He's not showing n the chatroom. Let's give him a minute to rejoin.
Monica: connection drops off
Daniel Bennett: while we wait for Fabio and near the end of the hour...a suggested agenda for next meeting?
Melanie Knapp: @Daniel Bennett: do you have some item(s) to add?
Daniel Bennett: I think we should have a further discussion of this proposal.
Daniel Bennett: so much for the perfection of this line
Fabio Vitali: can you hear me?
Daniel Bennett: no
Fabio Vitali:Howlong have I been talking to the air in front of me?
Fabio Vitali:
Daniel Bennett: several people were dropped from the call
Melanie Knapp: A long time, since linearization.
Thomas Francart: Sure, in next meeting we can review the comments on the document
Thomas Francart: Will the document be public on the wiki ?
Monica: also terminology needs revision for making it good for all the legal systems and legal documents (UN, FAO, included).
Monica: clear the principles
Melanie Knapp: Is Feb. 3 good for the next meeting?
Thomas Francart: OK for me
Monica: good for me
Melanie Knapp: Let's discuss the document by email before Feb. 3
Melanie Knapp: Subcommittees should think of their list of features carefully.
Melanie Knapp: Sorry for the technical glitches everyone. We meet again in two weeks. I'll post a calendar entry.
