4. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REPORT

Draft plan version 1 now in public domain. Copies in Library, Community Centre and various outlets throughout the parish, also available on LPC & Save Lenham web-sites. A straw poll will take place on 7th May at the Tithe barn to gauge response to the plan. There will be a further opportunity to discuss the plan and make comment at the display stall at the monthly market on 10th May.

Post 7th May communication with MBC will take place to discuss the plan.

Funding for a grant of £2500 has been applied for from MBC.

5. CORRESPONDENCE

Ham Lane Allotment Association have outlined possible plans for the allotment site and have informed LPC of on-going negotiations with St John Ambulance, which may allow the purchase of the allotments as a community asset. Subject to further negotiations.

The developers of the Paddock have suggested tree surgery/removal of trees between the Community Centre and the proposed development site.

A site meeting with Cllrs. to discuss options will be organised.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Concerns were raised about the United Reform Church planning application which was passed on 23/4/15.

A meeting should be organised as soon as possible between the developers, LPC, MBC planning officer and the Lenham Cricket Club representatives. Clarification will be sought as to how the health and safety risk aspect and the associated dangers whilst cricket is being played will be dealt with. LPC will write to MBC with respect to the decision to permit the development and point out the ongoing concerns, re safety issues.
