Chief Financial Officer

The Position
ReGenesis Health Care, Inc., (RHC), is currently searching for a Chief Financial Officer for its rapidly growing health center operations. RHC is a federally qualified health center located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Spartanburg is located adjacent to the city of Greenville in the Upstate region of South Carolina approximately one hour south of Charlotte, North Carolina and approximately two hours north of Atlanta, Georgia. The CFO reports directly to the organization’s CEO and is indispensable to the center’s business operations and relations with the Project Officer of the Bureau of Primary Health Care, and the State of South Carolina’s Primary Care Association.
Duties
The CFO provides leadership for general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, grants administration, information technology and telecommunications services. The CFO provides leadership in developing systems for internal controls, and for monitoring compliance and performance of the adequacy of those controls. The CFO is integral to managed care contracting, evaluation of new business development, grants opportunities, and provides direct and indirect oversight of the organization’s revenue cycle.
Critical Success Factors
Serious candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in community health center finance, federal health programs and medical group practice finance. Technical skills are foundational and essential, but the preferred candidate will also bring keen leadership, relationship skills, the ability to manage through extensive use of policy and procedure, and a bent for training and development of staff in the use of policies and procedures. The candidate will be an effective communicator (vertically as well as horizontally). He or she will understand the medical care delivery process and the CFO’s support role in provision of quality medical services. The CFO will be adept at financial planning, modeling of financial scenarios and alternatives, the ability to forecast revenues and expenses adroitly and have the ability to assist the CEO with decision support through a data driven process. The CFO will be proficient in the use of industry metrics, will know how to benchmark performance against those metrics, and will play a role in improving performance. Finally, the CFO will be comfortable in making presentations, to board of directors, to peers, and to employees.
Qualifications
The CFO will have baccalaureate degree in accounting and or finance. A master’s degree in business is highly desired but not required. A minimum of five years managerial experience in financial operations of group practices or community health centers is required.
