These questions relate to the following unit/s

Purpose of these questions
· These questions must be completed by all learners enrolled on these units as part of the ABC Level 2 Diploma in Work-Based Horticulture (Horticulture)
· They are designed to confirm evidence that a learner understands the knowledge element found in these units. Learners will need to provide other methods of diverse evidence e.g. observations / photographic evidence to meet all the Assessment Criteria linked to Learning Outcomes for these units as part of their portfolio.
· The information in brackets by the side of each question number indicates which Assessment criteria the question links to.
· Centres may print the questions off for learners.
How to use these questions
· Questions should be answered in the context of the learner’s working environment.
· Questions do not need to be completed under “exam-type” conditions.
· The questions do not have to be completed in one session,
· Questions should be undertaken with an assessor / supervisor present to ensure that the responses are those of the learner.
· Learners may provide the answers orally, provided the answers are recorded in an appropriate way – e.g. audio, video, transcribed.
· Centres must offer learners reasonable adjustments where required e.g. a reader and/or a scribe. Centres should read ABC’s guidance[1] on types of adjustments to ensure learners receive the most appropriate support
· Questions should be marked internally and internally moderated as part of the internal quality assurance process of the centre.
· Completed and marked questions, with evidence of internal moderation, must be made available to the ABC external moderator on request
· Learners must successfully achieve all questions.
· Questions can be attempted as many times as required, maintaining copies for audit purposes
