GENERAL INFORMATION 2012
Galway FA LADIES AND GIRLS FOOTBALL
1.All fixtures will be made by the Galway FA Administrator/Fixture Secretary.
2.Fixture made is a fixture played.
3.Fixtures cannot and will not be changed by managers of clubs or club Secretaries.
4.The season for Girls will commence on the weekend of the 24th of March 2012.
5.The season for Ladies will commence on Wednesday the 18 of April 2012.
6.The season will break for the Summer Public Examinations and commence immediately on completion.
7.Ladies Cup games will be played on Sundays. Underage cup games will be played midweek. Extra time and penalties in the event of a tie.
8.Referees are appointed by the fixtures secretary.
9.A completed squad sheet should be handed to the Referee before the start of the game. The sheet can be downloaded at on the Downloads and links page
10.All clubs participating must have public liability. A copy of your public liability insurance must be supplied to the Galway FA. (Check with your Club Secretary. This may have been already done.)
11.All players must be signed on the Galway FA Multiple official registration form, which can be down loaded from the down load and links page.
12.A squad of up to 18 may be used. Only 5 substitutes may be used.
13. Football size: – Girls 10 to 12 sizes 4 – Girls 14 and 16 sizes 5 - Ladies size 5.
14.On completion of each game, the Club Secretary will text the result to sports manager.
15.Female Affiliation Spreadsheet can be downloaded from Galway F.A. web page at on the Downloads and links page.
16.The Affiliation Spreadsheet must be with the Secretary of the Galway FA by close of business on the 31st of January 2012.
17.Under 10s and 12s games are 20 minutes aside with a 5 minute break. Cup games to be finished on the day with 2 periods of 5 minutes extra time and penalties in the event of draw. Pitch size Max 70 X 50 Yds Minimum 60 X 40 Yds.
18.Under 14 games are 35 minutes aside with a 10 minute break. Cup games to be finished on the day with 2 periods of 10 minutes extra time and penalties in the event of draw.
19.Under 16 games 40 minutes aside with a 10 minute break. Cup games to be finished on the day with 2 periods of 10 minutes extra time and penalties in the event of draw.
20. Under 10s and 12s games referee to be appointed by the home Club. Super sevens rules apply.
21.Under 10s and 12s matches can be played on Astroturf.
22. Dates of Birth for the 2012 Season. Under 10s born 2002 or later - Under 12s born 2000 or later - Under 14s born 1998 or later - Under 16s born 1996 or later.
23. Home team is responsible for payment to referee,s.
24. Failure to fulfill a fixture will result in a fine of 100 Euro and any other expenses as maybe decided by the Committee.
25.Failure to fulfill a fixture and withdraw from the league will incur a fine of 200 Euro and also 20 Euro for all remaining games to be played.
