A sincere thank you to all of our awesome parents and staff who worked together to make carnival happen! Special thanks to those who helped make decorations or set up for carnival: Jackie Goss, Mary Goss, Angie Bault, Cara King, Tammy Boyce, and Erin Thompson, and our custodial team. Also, thanks to Rebecca Applegate for working with student council to sell tickets and fill in empty game spots. So many people stepped up or worked behind the scenes it would be hard to name them all!

ISTEP+ ROUND TWO
Over the next several days, MCES students in grades 3-6 will be taking the second portion of the ISTEP+. Students in grades 4-6 will begin testing on April 23. Students in grade 3 will begin testing on May 2. There are about 6 hours of testing for most grade levels. The test will be taken on the computer. Students will test from 30-90 minutes per day over the course several days.
Please help your child to prepare for the test by making sure they have a good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast each day.
UNEXPECTED DAY OFF
School was canceled for MCES students on April 21 because the power and water had to be shut off to the building in order to repair a water leak. The superintendent has applied for a waiver from the Indiana Department of Education. If the waiver is granted we will not have to make up the missed school day. We will inform parents as soon as we receive word on the status of the waiver.
