SPONSOR DRIVE FUNDRAISING INSTRUCTIONS
Students and Parents:
The following suggestions will assist you in achieving your $100.00 per student goal.
· Make a list of people you want to contact.
· Ask parent permission to contact out of town relatives. Do this early so there is time for the mail delivery of your sponsor checks to qualify for prizes!
· Separate the list into categories such as 1. out of state relatives 2. people at work
3. people in the neighborhood 4. local businesses to visit, etc.
· Make a plan as to when to contact the people on your list as you will only see some of them once over the next several days.
· If you need more sponsor letters, they are available in the band room or make copies of a blank one.
· Checks are better than cash. Checks are to be made out to Independence Middle School. I would prefer students not bring cash to school. Otherwise, be sure cash is securely attached to sponsor form.
· Print the student’s name on the check (on the memo line)
· For parents of IMS students only, credit card donations can be made via the “Cashless Schools” program. You can access the system by clicking the “Pay Student Fees Online Now” link on the school’s Edline homepage, or use www.schoolcashonline.com to establish an account for your student.
· Make sure you get all information about each sponsor that is required on the sponsor letter. We need complete mailing addresses. PLEASE PRINT NEATLY!
· Make sure name of student being sponsored is on the sponsor form
· Staple or paper clip each check to the sponsor’s form
· Place all forms with checks and cash in envelope and put the total on the outside of the envelope.
· A sponsorship form with student’s name on it must be turned in with each donation.
· If paying online, write “Paid Online” on the sponsor form to be turned in by the student and attach copy of receipt.
· Make sure the amount sponsored matches the amount turned in.
· Please avoid turning in loose change.

FRIDAY, Sept. 4: FIRST MONEY TURN IN DAY. Prize Day
FRIDAY, Sept. 11: SECOND MONEY TURN IN DAY. Prizes
FRIDAY, Sept. 18: THIRD MONEY TURN IN DAY. Prizes
FRIDAY, Sept. 25: LAST MONEY DAY FOR PRIZES.
SPONSOR MONIES MAY CONTINUE TO BE TURNED IN AFTER Sept. 28th.
Our goal is to raise an average of $100.00 per child in our program. We really need your help in locating the money to expand our program. We are looking for corporate sponsorship to match some of the dollars we are raising.
