TYPING RALLY

The purpose of this typing rally is to develop speed and accuracy in your typing. Read and follow the directions carefully – you must have followed all the rules to win! Be sure to CORRECTLY PROOFREAD all your typed exercises. Correct typing technique must be used, or you must start over.

1. Type your name at the top of your Word document; right aligned your name and use Cosmic Sans as your font choice. Keep this font throughout the assignment.

2. Return twice and align your cursor to the left.

3. Type the lines below.

Just hanging out with my ghoul friends. (return once)

Time for a coffin break. (return twice)

Take a fright turn into the fright zone. (return once)

Trick or Treat! Give me something good to eat. Give me candy. Give me cake. Give me something sweet to take! (return twice)

4. Stand up and hop on one foot at your station ten times—and say. “I boo believe in ghosts! I boo, I boo, I boo!” Be careful of each other!

5. Type the lines below.

If you want a tasty sweet. . .Be sure to holler trick or treat! (return once)

The graveyard shift is best. No bones about it! (return once)

6. Stand up at your desk. Bend over and touch your toes 3- times— and say Which Witch is Which?!?? Then sit down.

7. Type the lines below:

8. Call out the name of your two favorite Halloween treats so that everyone in the room can hear you (but not too loud). Then tab twice and type one treat, return, tab twice and type the other treat name.

10. Print your document. Pick up your paper at the printer, go up to your teacher and shake her hand, walk once around the teacher, return to your seat, hold up your paper in the air and say, “It's Hallo-scream!!” Then, get up and turn your paper in.

The first three students to complete the typing rally will earn a little prize.
