Legal and Statutory Requirements
1.0Introduction:
Briarcare Ltd recognises that an integral part of providing health care to vulnerable members of society carries many obligations, which are enshrined in regulations such as the Care Standards Act 2000 as well as the Health and Safety, Environmental, employment legislation and any other legislation and regulations which apply to the Company. In accordance with this the Company is careful to observe all such requirements rigidly.
2.0Objective:
To ensure that all current and relevant statutory and legal requirements are observed such that the Company is not liable to prosecution or litigation
2.0Procedure:
Briarcare Ltd shall ensure that all products, facilities and equipment used by the Company shall comply with all statutory and legal requirements
The Company Secretary shall continuously review the statutory and legal requirements in order to ensure that they are as current as possible.
Briarcare Ltd shall ensure that it observes all legal and statutory requirements
Briarcare Ltd shall ensure that it is aware of any amendments or variations to statutory and legal requirements and that they are implemented, recorded, maintained and employees and customers informed, where this applies.
Briarcare Ltd shall ensure that it is aware of any statutory and legal requirements, which may cease to apply to the Company, its employees, services or customers, and that these are be noted and that the Company acts accordingly.

ΟArrangements are made for the implementation of safe systems of work to safeguard the welfare of:
- Service User’s
- Employees
- Any others employed by Briarcare for the provision of Care

The Company may sub-contract the provision of the essential information as to additions, amendments, revisions or deletions to all statutory and legal requirements to an approved outside organisation if this is deemed appropriate.

4.0Persons Responsible:
Group Director
All employees
The Group director is responsible for authorising this procedure
The Company secretary is responsible for the observance of all statutory and legal requirements for which the Company is liable.
The Care Director is responsible for the organisation and /or delivery of appropriate training
The Quality Manager is responsible for the maintenance of training records.
All employees are responsible for observing all legal and statutory requirements
