Additionally, the January newsletter will repeat the voting information.
Discussion ensued regarding the viability of absentee balloting. Paul Koch proposed the concept of Post members voting in absentia; this was seconded by Mr. Mussro and unanimously accepted by the Officers present. Mark MacEwan added the proviso that absentee balloting should have a deadline several days earlier than the general election to facilitate tallying.
Programs: Due to the upcoming O’Club renovations the Post January and February general meetings will be held at the Enlisted Club; this will be duly noted in the January and February editions of the Flyer.
Discussion followed regarding potential tours in 2006. Ric Powers suggested that participation would be enhanced with more geographically local tours. Mr. Mussro added that more interesting tours would draw more individuals. He will add a query in the Flyer asking members for tour suggestions. The notion of a suggestion card to generate input in this regard was also discussed.
Potential tour locations mentioned included: Georgia Power-Plant Scherer, Anchor Glass, and Frito Lay. It was suggested that another tour to the Hartsfield Atlanta Airport renovation in March or a tour of the recently completed 3D Military Police Group US Army Criminal Investigation Command laboratory at Ft Gillem be conducted. Ken Branton will assess the potential to tour the airport. Also mentioned was repeating presentations from the Restoration Advisory Board meetings, such as the Fuel Cell Technology Overview.
It was also mentioned that a meeting with an ALC-oriented professional organization at the Base would generate cross-fertilization and potentially increase Post membership. It was suggested that Col Teresa Carter, new Wing Commander, should be approached to speak to the Post.

Post Organization: Discussed as part of the Election discussion.
