MalcolmJ.(Mac)McPherson,Jr.wasborninNewark,NewJerseyonDecember7,1955toMalcolmJ.McPherson,Sr.andMiriam(neeMurray)McPherson.Malcolmhasonesister,SusanneMcPherson.HeattendedSacredHeartGrammarSchool,LyndhurstHighSchool,SetonHallUniversity,andSetonHallLaw School,graduatinglawschoolin1981.
MalcolmmethiswifePatricia(Pat)(neeSchember)inhighschoolandtheyweremarried onAugust15,1981. Theyhavetwodaughters,MeghanandMallory,bothofwhomareofficersofLyndhurstLodgeNo.1505.Upongraduationfromlawschool,MalcolmjoinedthelawfirmofEdwardsandAntholisasanassociateuntilbecomingapartnerin1986,remainingthere until 1990.
In1991,heopenedhisownprivatepracticespecializingincivillaw,includingmatrimonial,municipallanduse,willsandestates.HewasalsoaformerattorneyforthePassaicCountyElksCerebralPalsyTreatmentCenter.In1992,hewasappointedtheattorneyfortheLyndhurstRentLevelingBoardandpresentlystillholdsthatposition.
MalcolmwasinitiatedintoLyndhurstLodgeNo.1505inMarch1981,proposedbyhissoontobefather-in-law,WalterSchember,Sr.HewasinstalledasLodgeEsquireinMarch1982andcontinuedonasEsteemedLecturingKnight,EsteemedLoyalKnight,EsteemedLeadingKnightandelectedasExaltedRulerin1986-1987.Followingthat,MalcolmservedhisLodgeinmanycapacitiesincludingJusticeoftheSubordinateForumfrom1987-2005.HeachievedHonorableLifeMembershipinApril1997.
OntheStatelevel,heservedasChairmanfor theNorthCentral District's Ritual CommitteeaswellasbeingacertifiedRitualisticjudge,whichhecontinuestobetothisday.HeservedasattorneyforboththeNewJerseyStateElksAssociationConventionandSpecialChildren'sCommittee.MalcolmwasalsoChairman oftheNewJerseyStateLawsCommittee.HewaselectedPresidentoftheNewJerseyStateElksAssociation 1999-2000.
AttheGrandLodgelevel,Malcolmwasappointed DistrictDeputyGrandExaltedRulerofNewJersey'sNorthCentralDistrictin1995-1996,GrandLodge Ritualistic Committeemanin2002-2003,Grand LodgeCommitteeonJudiciaryin2003-2005,memberoftheGrandForumfrom2005until2010,servingas itsChiefJustice,andChairmanofthePardonCommissionin2009-2010,SpecialDeputyGrandExaltedRulerforthestateofNewJerseyfrom2009tothe present.
Onapersonallevel,Malcolm wasamemberandcoachoftheLittleFallsAthleticClub.HecoachedbasketballandsoftballinLittleFallsfrom1989until2001.Hewasamemberofthe AmericanBarAssociation.HeandhisfamilyareparishionersofOurLadyofMountCarmelR.C.Church.
