Meeting called to order by Tim Jones at 6:02 pm

Minutes from August 8, 2012 read by Lee Keel

·  Motion by Tojo Powers: Motion to accept minutes

·  Motion seconded by Marlon Hood

·  Motion approved by all

·  Motion carried

Finances presented by Kim Gargis

·  Soccer refunds have been sent out

·  Had a few new memberships that were a little late

·  Soccer refs will be paid bi-monthly to cut down on the work load of treasurer

·  Motion by Marlon Hood: Motion to accept finance report

·  Motion seconded by Patrick Dean

·  Motion approved by all

Are all refunds completed:

·  Kim has sent all refunds out

Select Meeting on Sept 9:

·  Need to get copies of flier

o  Scott Humphries to get copies on Thursday and put in PES & 6th grade teacher boxes to go home on Friday

·  Motion by Scott Humphries: Motion to have PCRA pay TVBA fees out of the $55 registration fee.

o  Motion seconded by Tojo Powers

o  Motion approved by 4 with 1 abstained

o  Motion carried

·  Select and Non-select will have equal practice time on the court and will have equal opportunity for full court practices.

Signups on Sept 8:

·  Bryon to work entire time

·  Wendy Fentress to help when she can

·  Marlon will be there from 10-11:45

·  Patrick will be there from 12-2

PCRA has not secured the gyms for practice and such

·  Bryon to get contracts done ASAP

Basketball Rep

·  Bryon & Marlon will continue as basketball rep however on the weekend a board member will need to be at any open gyms to ensure everything is going smoothly.

Open Discussion

·  Some issues around 5/6 football with unhappy parents; Tojo to address with coach

·  Tim Jones will be stepping down as President of PCRA. Other seats available in Oct 7 meeting:

o  Board Members: Patrick Dean, Scott Humphries, Tammy Speegle

o  Office spots up for re-election: Treasurer (Kim Gargis), Secretary (Lee Keel), Vice President (Derrek Sullivan)

o  General membership elects board members and votes on if there are more than 3 elected

o  General membership elects and votes on President (must be current, or have previously been, member of the board or an officer)

o  General membership elects all other officer positions, BUT board votes on who is selected if more than one person is elected for an office.
