MONDAY, JUNE 16th (RAIN DATE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18th) THE COMPETITION IS “FREE”
Age Groups: (AGE AS OF 4/30/14)
5:30 p.m. ages 5-7 6:00 p.m. ages 8-9 6:30 p.m. ages 10-11
7:00 p.m. ages 12-13 7:15 p.m. ages 14-15
Check in and/or Post (Same Day) Registration – Monday, June 16th at O’Beirne Field
From 5:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for ages 5-7 and 15 minutes prior to the event time for all other age groups
Awards given to First, Second, and Third Place finishers in each category.
First Place finishers will have an opportunity to advance to District, State, and Regional Competition.
Come out and test your skills!
5-7 yr. olds hit off a tee, all others will receive 5 warm up pitches, and 10 hits from the pitching machine.
Scores are counted as to where the ball lands. The highest point total determines the winners.

In return for being allowed to participate in the Roseland Essex Fells, Fairfield and North Caldwell Recreation Departments (hereinafter referred to as “WERD”)/ Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America’s Batter Up Competition, (hereinafter collectively referred to as “BPOE”), the undersigned parent represents the information set forth in the Application is correct. In consideration of such registration and the right of applicant to participate in the competition, the undersigned does hereby acknowledge and agree that such participation will be solely at the risk of applicant, the undersigned, and without liability to the WERD / BPOE of the United States of America, its State Associations, its subordinate Lodges, and the officers and member of them and any other Sponsors. The undersigned, for himself, his personal representatives and successors, does hereby release and forever discharge WERD/BPOE and any other Sponsors from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, obligations, damages, costs, expenses, loss of service, actions and causes of action including each and every right of payment for damages said undersigned may now or hereafter have against WERD/BPOE and any other Sponsors arising out of any act or occurrence incident to the applicant’s said participation and/or the engagement of the undersigned in connection therewith. The undersigned hereby gives consent and authorizes WERD/BPOE to use and reproduce, without compensation, applicant’s name and/or likeness and to circulate the same for any and all purposes reasonably related to the conduct and promotion of the said competition, and the undersigned does hereby agree to indemnify and hold WERD/BPOE and any other Sponsors harmless from any and all claims, loss or damage to the WERD/BPOE resulting from or related to applicant’s said participation.

I grant permission for the Borough of Roseland, Roseland, New Jersey to use photograph(s)/moving image(s) of my child participating in Borough programs and/or activities for promotional purposes. I understand that photographs or recordings may be utilized by the Borough at its discretion
for materials including, but not limited to: newsletters, brochures, television, video tape and flyers. Photographs sent to the local
