The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences equips students with the education, training and support needed to meet the demands of healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, physician assistants, clinical laboratory scientists, toxicologists and radiologic technologists. In addition, the College is committed to helping students focus on the responsibilities of public health and service,as well as appreciate the ever-changing character of the health professions.
Program Description
The purpose of this program is to develop an independent, competent, well-rounded academician and public health professional. This residency position is a grant-funded position, which will focus on substance use screening, identification and intervention within the curricula of the health professions’ programs and the community.

- Completion of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences’ Teaching Certificate
- Research projects / presentations related to residency sponsor goals and resident interest area(s)
- Professional meeting attendance / participation
- Local travel for community health initiatives
- Professional Committee Participation
Application Requirements
Candidates must:
- possess a strong interest in professional and community health education, health promotion and disease prevention, mental and behavioral health issues
- be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
- have successfully completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
- be licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State (RPh)
- be available for an on-site interview in February or March 2017
- provide a letter of intent, official academic transcript(s), current Curriculum Vitae, and three (3) letters of recommendation
- complete an online application (which may include additional application requirements)
