Installing Tableau Desktop

Registration number is : TDGR-248C-B810-D6C0-1172 either save in a text file on thumb drive or to the desktop, you will need this to use the program after installation

Using windows explorer (not internet) go to this location and double click on the highlighted file to run the installation:

TableauDesktop.exe is the file needed. Installation from start to program usage is about 3 mins. You will see this window:

Then select the box for the license agreement, and click on Install as in this picture;

Ignore the fact it says. “may take several minutes…it does NOT take long

Now click on the activate aoption as shown below: Next paste the registration number as shown below:

you can select register later as shown below:

You are done and ready to work!!!!

Please remember : EVERYTIME YOU LOGOFF A MACHINE THIS PROGRAM WILL BE GONE!!! YOU WILL NEED TO REPEAT THIS PROCESS EACH TIME YOU NEED TO USE IT.

The plus side to the installation, is that you may do this in ANY microlab on campus :ie Libray, classrooms, union…etc
