World Fuel Services is seeking the brightest and best students to participate in our Summer Internship Program in Miami, Florida. Interns will work on exciting project initiatives that are aligned to our overall Corporate Goals. Interns will be assigned to mentors to make this a rewarding and learning experience for future personal growth and development.
MarineCommercial Sales:
Intern will work within the Marine and Land Sales &MarketingDepartment to better enhance our data on Marine and LandFuel Consumption globally.

  • Opportunity to workand gain experience on Commercial Systems
  • Opportunity to gain experience with Marine and Land Logisticsand Fuel Operations
  • Opportunity to work on key reporting metrics thatrelate to key Lines of Business
  • Opportunity to interact with Marine and Land Business Leadson critical project initiatives.

Intern will also work within the Marine Sales and marketing Department to create a ‘best in class’ introductory training program for junior brokers, brokers, and commercial operations representatives.

The project will consist of gathering current training materials, guidelines, process descriptions, user guides and also outlines of external as well as internal courses and putting together a "best in Class" intro/training program.

Above positions start at Jr. Level and progress to Sr. Level depending on past experience as well as performance in role.

Job Requirements:*

  • Student must be enrolled an Undergraduate or Graduate program, Junior status or higher; (not intended for students graduating in May-Sept 2014)
  • Student must be able to work on an eight or twelve week assignment; (typically start in June and run through August)
  • Paid Internship; $17.00/hr. plus a one time travel allowance of up to $750.00
  • Student must be willing to pay personal living expenses while on internship;
  • Student’s degree and skill-set must be directly related to the business need. (Marketing, Statistical Analysis, Intl. Trade and/or Logistics, Transportation, Maritime Studies, Business)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Excellent Excel
  • Experience in conducting research
  • Taste for Interviewing and teaching

Student with a major in the preferred fields: Human resources, education, international trade, philosophy, history, sociology, English, maritime studies
