To improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.

STRATEGIC OUTCOMES

1. Program

Soroptimist programs and initiatives will enable women and girls to achieve social and economic empowerment.

2. Membership

Soroptimist will be a thriving organization of clubs and members committed to the mission.

3. Public Awareness

Soroptimist will be known for its efforts to help women and girls achieve social and economic empowerment.

4. Fundraising

Sufficient funds will exist for Soroptimist to accomplish the mission.

5. Mission Support

Southern Region will enable its clubs to achieve the mission by providing volunteer support and a sound infrastructure.

PROGRAM

Soroptimist programs and initiatives will enable women and girls to achieve social and economic empowerment.

  1. Clubs shall have a project benefitting women or girls
  2. Clubs shall have 100% participation in Women’s Opportunity Award.
  3. Clubs shall support at least one international project.
  4. Clubs shall submit at least one program report to SI or SIA annually.

MEMBERSHIP

Soroptimist will be a thriving organization of clubs and members committed to the mission.

  1. Clubs shall have a net gain in membership.
  2. Clubs shall enhance ways in which interested women can engage with Soroptimist.
  3. Region shall identify areas to charter new clubs.
  4. Clubs shall encourage diversity in membership.

PUBLIC AWARENESS

Soroptimist will be known for its efforts to help women and girls achieve social and economic empowerment.

  1. Members shall raise public awareness about the Soroptimist mission to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.
  2. Clubs shall have at least two media mentions per year.
  3. Clubs shall be aware of and use the SIA Public Awareness resources.
  4. Clubs shall seek collaboration with local organizations that have similar goals.

FUNDRAISING

Sufficient funds will exist for Soroptimist to accomplish the mission.

  1. Clubs shall maintain 100% participation in Founder’s Pennies.
  2. Clubs shall strive for 100% participation in the SIA Club Giving Campaign.
  3. Clubs shall hold a fundraising event soliciting funds from the community.

MISSION SUPPORT
Southern Region will enable its clubsto achieve the mission by providing volunteer support and a sound infrastructure.

  1. Southern Region Board shall maintain close communication with members through the club’s established SIA e-mail account.
  2. Southern Region Board shall support all Southern Region clubs with particular attention to those in low membership.
  3. Southern Region Board shall support clubs in developing their strategic plan.
