The meeting of the Village of Roanoke Joint Zoning & Planning Board was called to order by Board Chairman Daraban at 6:35 p.m.

Present by roll call by Board Member Ford:

Chairman Daraban asked for additions/corrections to the minutes of the previous meeting. Board Member Ford made a motion to approve the previous minutes as presented; Board Member Gerdes seconded.

Motion carried by voice vote with: Ayes: 4 Nayes: 0

ZONING OFFICER REPORT

Chairman Daraban asked Zoning Officer Haney to provide his monthly report of issues or concerns for the Board. Zoning Officer Haney reported on the following items:

1.  Building Permits and related issues:

Permit #2014-30 issued to Chad Getz, 601 W. Front, 70’ privacy fence, granted

Permit #2014-31 issued to Todd Baumann, 603 St. Mary St., 10x10 shed on skids, granted

Permit #2014-32 issued to Todd Meinhold, 407 N. Main, 36x40 addition to rear, granted

Permit #2014-33 issued to Jonathon Schwind, 501 W. High, fence, granted

Permit #2014-34 issued to Kyle Flanagan, 313 N. Green, fence, granted

2. Special Use Permits:

None

3. Old Business or Action Items:

None.

None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

None.

NEW BUSINESS:

Discussed the Public Hearing held August 26, 2014 at 6:00pm to consider petition #2014-15-V filed by Rob & Renee Huschen for a variance to allow another mini storage building to be constructed 100’ from the centerline of State Route 116 (from the standard 150’) and 5’ off the West property line (from the standard 15’). Mr. Huschen’s request was denied.

Chairman Daraban indicated that the next regular Board meeting will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.

Board Member Bertolo made a motion to adjourn; Board Member Gerdes seconded. Motion carried by voice vote with 4 ayes.
