Governor Mifflin Girls Lacrosse Tournament

- Location:Governor Mifflin High School, 10 South Waverly Street, Shillington, PA 19607
- Rules: All US Lacrosse rules apply.
Girls may play “up” but not in a lower grade bracket. 4-goal advantage starting rule.
- 3/4 grade - 7v7; no checking (shooting net must be used if no goalie is playing)
- All teams – We are NOT enforcing a 3 pass rule, however, encourage it for better play!
- 7/8 and 5/6 grade - Full-field play with modified checking (below shoulder)
- Schedule:
- Games will start each half hour, indicated by a horn.
- Games will be 25 minute running clock, starting ready or not. Be on time!!
- Scoring: Please be informed of the method of scorekeeping prior to the tournament
- 3/4 – scoring based on groundball turnovers, completed passes, goals and goalie saves - counted by HS personnel (Groundballs not be counted if player error drops the ball)
- Number of games won based on combined points. If tie – Total Points Wins
- 7/8 and 5/6 - scoring based on goals and points
- Overall Team points will be awarded as follows:
6 points=Win 3 points=Tie 1 point for each goal differential (up to 5 max/game)
0 points=Loss1 point for each shutout
** Tie breaker - 1) head to head 2) the team with the fewest goals scored against
- 7/8 B - playoff bracket based on the points of the top 4 teams.
- 5/6 A, 5/6 B & 7/8 A – Championship game based on the points of the top 2 teams.
- Awards Ceremony after completion of all games. 20 Player Maximum for awards
- Sportsmanship Medals will be given to the teams who exhibit the highest degree of sportsmanship, which will be rated by the umpires and Governor Mifflin HS field managers. Please make your coaches, players and parents aware of this award!
- Trophies awarded to the 3/4 team with most wins and then combined points
Trophiesawarded to the 7/8 (A&B) & 5/6 (A&B) teams who win the championship games
- Miscellaneous
*Bathrooms are located at the stadium field.
*Canopy tents are permitted on the grass – PLEASE pick up your trash and place in the trash container by the Middle School across the street from the stadium bathroom entrance.
*No one is permitted on any equipment, on the track or in the sand pits in the stadium.
*ONLY PLAYERS & COACHES are permitted on the fields. Do NOT walk across the turf fields. All spectators must sit on the opposite side of the field across from their team.
*Concessions and sportswear will be sold throughout the day, including tourney T-Shirts.*In case of inclement weather, a decision will be made via e-mail.
